Assassin’s Creed Mirage New Story Trailer, Footage Show a Return to the Series’ Roots

Assassin's Creed Mirage

New Assassin’s Creed Mirage story trailer and gameplay footage were shared online today, showing more of the next entry in the series launching this October on PC and consoles.

The new trailer and gameplay footage, which were shared during today's Ubisoft Forward, further confirm how the game is going back to the root of the series. Set right after Basim has taken down the first big target of the adventure, the new footage shows some extremely familiar stealthy gameplay and none of the role-playing game mechanics that powered the main entries in the series since Assassin’s Creed Origins.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be set before Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and star Basim, who made his debut in the series in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla when he was a young thief in Baghdad. In the city, he will encounter the ancient organization called The Hidden Ones and join them, further honing his assassination abilities and discovering his true nature and a new Creed that will change the world forever.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage launches on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One on October 12th.
