MSI is planning to launch a new variant of the upcoming GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB featuring an elegant white color scheme.
MSI GAMING X SLIM RTX 4060Ti to Feature One of The Best White Designs In The RTX 40 Series Lineup
For those unaware, NVIDIA will be launching a new model of the RTX 4060 Ti included with a bumped-up 16 GB VRAM. However, the launch has faced dim consumer interest mainly due to the GPU's expected pricing and what it brings to the table. The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is expected to launch somewhere around the $499 mark, which is $100 higher than the 8 GB variant. Considering the performance per dollar increase, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB might not look like a worthy option.
Moving back to the topic, MSI is expected to release the "GAMING X SLIM" version of the RTX 4060 Ti, featuring a beautiful white color scheme. The 'SLIM" lineup is MSI's new model included with the RTX 40 series GPUs and it comes with a more "thin" design than its counterparts. Judging by how "chunkier" GPUs are getting in recent times, the MSI "SLIM" lineup has garnered interest.
The GPU features a triple-fan configuration and a complete white design including fan blades. The RGB configuration onboard differs slightly from what we see in traditional "GAMING X" GPUs, as MSI has included an RGB strip alongside the shroud.
The pricing for the new "GAMING X SLIM" variant hasn't been disclosed yet; however, in previous coverage, it was revealed that the ROG STRIX RTX 4060 Ti 16G will retail for around $600 US considering it is a high-tier model. The "GAMING X SLIM" could be available within the $550-$600 price, although nothing is officially confirmed.
The idea behind the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16G hasn't attracted attention from NVIDIA's board partners hence we may see fewer variants being released initially. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will hit shelves on the 18th of July with a starting MSRP of $499 US and will only come in custom models.
