Acer has made its debut in the AMD Radeon GPU segment with the budget-focused Radeon RX 7600 BiFrost series graphics card.
ACER Starts Making AMD Radeon GPUs, First Radeon RX 7600 Predator BiForst Design Revealed
Acer isn't new in the graphics card industry, as it started its journey with Intel's Arc GPUs. The Acer Intel Arc A770 BiFrost is known to be a high-tier GPU mainly due to its premium aesthetics & high-quality thermal design.
The company was previously rumored to release the flagship AMD Radeon RX 7900 series, but it hasn't yet come to light yet. However, Acer has now released the Predator BiFrost RX 7600 in the budget segment which means that we might be looking at the high-end launch coming relatively sooner.
The Acer Predator "BiFrost" Intel Arc series has gained a lot of interest, especially with the recent price cuts and the fact that it is the most affordable 16 GB modern graphics card out in the market right now, and we believe the Radeon lineup could get a similar attraction. The GPU features a unique design and an elegant black color scheme; however, the RGB options are limited as only the "Predator" branding will be lit up. Moreover, in terms of thermal performance, the lineup generally has a great design and runs at relatively lower temperatures than its competitors.
The Acer Predator BiFrost Radeon RX 7600 is released in two different OC and non-OC variants. Both GPUs have a similar thermal design which should be able to maintain temperatures at load. The OC model runs at 2320 MHz Game and 2725 MHz boost clocks. TDP is rated at 180W for the OC and 170W for the Non-OC variant.
When it comes to pricing, the Predator BiFrost Radeon RX 7600 is retailing for NT$8,490/USD 274.12 at the company's Taiwanese website. The OC variant is available for NT$8,990 / USD $290.12. Both variants are priced slightly higher than the $270 MSRP, but it is expected to drop once they hit the retail markets. The Intel Arc A750 OC will cost around NT$7990 / USD $258.
