GALAX unveils its high-end HOF OC Phantom S DDR5 memory, boasting cutting-edge performance and sleek aesthetics.
GALAX's New Phantom S DDR5 Memory Comes With DDR5-8000+ Speeds and Elegant White Color Scheme
The new GALAX Phantom S memory modules are the company's fastest offerings featuring a maximum speed of 8000 MT/s. The Phantom S DDR5 can be compared to the likes of G.Skill's Trident Z5 memory kits which are well-known for their performance in the industry. The memory will be available in three different configurations, DDR5-7200, DDR5-7600, and DDR5-8000 in a 2x 16 GB package. The respective memory timings are rated at CL34, CL36, and CL38.
Galax's HOF OC Phantom S DDR5 memory modules are perhaps one of the best-looking, especially since they come in an all-white color scheme. The RAM kits come in an "electrophoretic " white color, providing a better finish and elegant look. Moreover, the modules have eight different RGB segments, providing users with extensive customization options. The frosted color above the RGB emitting lights provides a "diffused" look, similar to what the GSkill's Trident series offer.
In addition to the HOF OC LAB series, GALAX also introduced its brand new X4 modules that adopt the Boomstar theme and feature speeds of up to DDR5-6400. These modules also come in a white color scheme and also a white PCB. These modules feature a very high-end heatsink design that is quite tall and may end up in clearance issues with certain CPU coolers. There's also an acrylic RGB diffuser on the top that should look great when the modules are booted up.
The company hasn't confirmed pricing for the upcoming DDR5 memory modules nor specified a release date. However, since it is a high-end option, we expect the price to be in the greater price range bracket, presumably within the USD $250-300 range.
