A new image possibly showcasing what is currently known as the PlayStation 5 Slim surfaced online, providing the first look at the yet-to-be-announced hardware revision for the current generation console by Sony.
The image, which was shared on the A9VG forums as reported on Twitter by Andrew Marmo, shows how the new console's design isn't going to be much different from the current one, although some of the differences are immediately noticeable. The image, which was apparently taken from a video that is circulating online, matches the description shared a few days ago by @BwE_Dev on Twitter, which you can find below alongside the image.

I would say its about 5cm or so shorter, not much thinner. Weird curve in the middle with smaller vents. The BD drive is less curved so it looks weird. Has two ugly black slits on each side of the case. Dual USB-C on the front. Stupid embossed on the rear.
Boring ASF.

As Sony has yet even to confirm the existence of the PlayStation 5 Slim, which is said to be not all that slim, we have to take everything with a grain of salt, though it is likely that such a hardware revision is coming, considering even Microsoft thinks it is coming soon. As the new model is apparently releasing before the end of the year, an official reveal should be imminent so that it won't take long to see if today's picture is indeed showing the new PS5 model. We will keep you updated on it as soon as more comes in, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
