AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7995WX 96-Core CPU Benchmark Leaks: Rips Apart All Multi-Threaded Chips, 70% Faster Than 5995WX

The Fastest Threadripper Ever! AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7995WX Leaks Out & Crushes Every Chip In Its Path 1

AMD's ultimate Ryzen Threadripper Pro CPU, the upcoming 7995WX, has just leaked out and crushes all other chips with its blistering fast 96 cores.

The Fastest Threadripper Ever! AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7995WX Leaks Out & Crushes Every Chip In Its Path

Just a few days after the chip got spotted once again, we get to see a proper benchmark of the AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7995WX which is part of the new Zen 4 family of HEDT-Workstation CPUs & is expected to launch later this year on the Storm Peak platform. The chip was tested in Geekbench 5 on a HP Z6 G5 A Workstation which featured the HP 8B24 equipped with 512 GB of DDR4 DRAM.

In terms of specifications, the AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7995WX CPU features 96 cores, 192 threads, and a clock speed of around 5.15 GHz (misreported in the Geekbench as 7+ GHz. The CPU comes packed with 384 MB of L3 cache, 96 MB of L2 cache and is expected to run at a max TDP of 350W.

In terms of performance, the CPU scored 2095 points within the single-core tests which is around the same ballpark as a 5.1 GHz clocked Ryzen 7000 CPU but the multi-core performance is simply mindblowing. The chip scored a monumental 81,408 points within the multi-threaded benchmark which is a massive 70% gain over the fastest Threadripper Pro 5995WX which was overclocked to 4.35 GHz across all cores using a custom water-cooled setup which scored 48,025 points. If a stock chip was compared, the performance difference would be much bigger and that's simply insane.

It can be seen that the 50% increase in core counts, and the 20% increase in clock speeds are the major contributors to such a big performance increase. We also used some other chips to compare against the Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7995WX's leaked score and you can see that it even beats the fastest entries of all previous and current-gen Xeon/Threadripper processors using extravagant cooling options such as custom water-loops and LN2. One could just imagine the kind of scores we would see once these next-gen Threadripper CPUs are put under LN2. Maybe the 100K barrier isn't that far from being broken in Geekbench 5.
