Although Starfield won't be out before two weeks, a YouTuber has seemingly received a copy of the game's Constellation Edition early and has uploaded over 40 minutes of gameplay, resulting in a major Starfield leak.
We won't be posting the video that YouTuber 'DHavenShadow' posted on YouTube directly, but the video can be found here. If you want to watch the video (and get spoiled), be sure to do it fast as it will likely be removed by Microsoft/Bethesda soon enough.
The video, recorded on a phone in portrait mode, shows the YouTuber opening the game's Constellation Edition, which includes the base game as well as access to the Shattered Space Story expansion, early access, skin packs, and more. To learn more about this edition (as well as other editions), be sure to read the page linked above. In the video, the YouTuber can be seen starting Starfield, creating his character, going through various dialogues, doing space battles as well as regular combat, and more. It's an interesting video for those interested in seeing footage of the game before reviews drop and the game releases next month. Of course, we advise against watching this video if you don't want to get the game spoiled for you ahead of launch.
Starfield launches globally on September 6 for PC and Xbox Series X|S. The game will be available on day one on Xbox Game Pass. As covered earlier in our PC requirements post, players will require an SSD in order to play Bethesda's title. On Xbox Series consoles, the game will run at 30FPS on both Xbox Series X and Series S to favor consistency. "“I think it'll come as no surprise, given our previous games, what we go for,” Todd Howard told IGN earlier this year. “Always these huge, open worlds, fully dynamic, hyper detail where anything can happen. And we do want to do that. It's 4K in the X. It's 1440 on the S. We do lock it at 30 because we want that fidelity, we want all that stuff. We don't want to sacrifice any of it."
Howard also said, "Fortunately in this one, we've got it running great. It's often running way above that. Sometimes it's 60. But on the consoles, we do lock it because we prefer consistency, where you're not even thinking about it."
