The new magical FPS Immortals of Aveum gives players a wide array of abilities to help them out in combat, with some of the most powerful being the Fury spells. These special magical attacks can be activated by consuming mana crystals, and most of them are obtained by default as you make your way through the main campaign. That said, there are a pair of optional Furies, which are two of the most effective in the game. One of these is the Green Timeburst Fury spell, which offers exactly what it sounds like – the ability to slow down time so you can better deal with particularly frantic combat scenarios. Here’s how to unlock the Timeburst Fury spell…
- Step 1 – The Timeburst spell is located in a Shroudfane (optional challenge areas accessed via special portals) within the Shrineforge area relatively late in the game.
- Step 2 – Near the end of the main Shrineforge mission, you’ll go up a staircase and come across this hole in the wall that provides a view of a small area you can’t access. While you can’t fit through the hole, there’s a Blue switch you can shoot inside. This will make a door behind the Blue switch open.
- Step 3 – Continue down the path, break the rainbow barrier, and return to the area with Shrineforge's portal. Look up, and you can see the area with the Blue switch is now accessible due to that door opening. Jump up using your grapple.
- Step 4 – Activate the lens in here, which will shoot out a beam up light, which goes to another cubby with a Red switch in it. Jump across and activate the Red switch.
- Step 5 – Okay, the beam of light is now blocked by a door. Now what? There’s actually another cubby with a Green switch right next to the one with the Red switch, it’s just hard to see. Hover over to it and hit the Green switch.
- Step 6 – Now the beam of light reflects back into the more open area where you had the big battle at the beginning of the Shrineforge mission. You can now access a room in the middle of this area with a Blue prism. Use your Refract ability to shine a beam into the Blue eye.
- Step 7 – Another door will open. There’s a gold chest in here. Drop down the purple-lit hole and you’ll find the Howler Shroudfane. In here, you’ll have to beat a tough version of the Howler boss from the beginning of the game. Do so, and you’ll unlock the Timeburst spell.
There you go! It takes a few steps, but unlocking the Timeburst Fury spell is definitely worth it.
