The Last of Us Part 1 PC patch 1.1.2 has been rolled out by Iron Galaxy and Naughty Dog, and here's what it does.
According to the official release notes for this new PC update, the patch will trigger a full shader rebuild. This is a good thing to know as the rebuilding of shaders has been an issue for plenty of players since the release of the PC port earlier this year. As such - no worries, this is intended. As mentioned by the development team, PC patch 1.1.2 packs fixes for visuals as well as the user experience. In addition to improving the blending of terrain and ground-based environmental effects like mud, debris, and more, this new update addresses an issue with the DualSense adaptive trigger resistance. Also, the update contains fixes for various in-game, menu, and text-to-speech translation errors.

The Last of Us Part I is a testament to how timeless this Cormac McCarthy-inspired tale is. Fully remade for Sony’s latest console generation, if this is the first chance a player has to experience the post-outbreak tale, it’s without a doubt the best version to play. Both visual and mechanical enhancements bring this title to life as no other Naughty Dog game has done before. However, the omission of the multiplayer component is lamented by fans of the original that cannot be overlooked for keeping The Last of Us Part I from being a perfect gaming experience.
