At Newegg, the MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB Ventus graphics card is currently selling for $449 US while PNY is officially listing its RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB Vertro graphics cards for $449 US which is more or less confirmation that it's not just the retailers but also the AIBs who are participating in this cut in prices. Amazon is offering the card at an even higher discount and has listed the model for $430.
Following are some retail links for the 16 GB models:
- PNY 4060 Ti 16 GB Verto OC - $430 (Amazon US)
- MSI 4060 Ti 16 GB Ventus OC - $449 (Newegg US)
- MSI 4060 Ti 16 GB Ventus OC - $449 (B&H Photo)
- MSI 4060 Ti 16 GB Ventus 3X - $479 (B&H Photo)
The new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti GPU pricing can be seen as a reaction to AMD's recent RDNA 3 GPU announcements which include the Radeon RX 7700 XT 12 GB for $449 US and RX 7800 XT 16 GB for $499 US. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti may not have been a good value at $499 US since it offered the same core specs as the $399 US variant, albeit with twice the memory, which only had little impact on higher resolutions but a $50 US higher price might make more sense for individuals who still find some rationale in buying this graphics card.
Overall, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti series is backed by three important components which include strong ray tracing performance, support for DLSS 3 & frame generation, and best-in-class GPU efficiency. For 1080p and 1440p (With DLSS 2/3), the graphics cards can be seen as decent if not the best options. The AMD Navi 32 GPUs are shaping up to be quite the high-end horsepower and launch next week. It will put a lot of pressure on NVIDIA's RTX 4060 Ti range so expect more updates and discounts in the coming month.
