A new Zelda: Ocarina of Time comparison video that was shared online a few hours ago puts the original and the Unreal Engine-powered fan remake by CryZENx, highlighting the differences between them.
The video, put together by ElAnalistaDeBits, highlights how both faithful and good the fan remake is, especially in the segments of the remake that have been ported to Unreal Engine 5. While the full fan-made remake is unlikely to get released in the near future, being able to experience a modernized version of a small portion of the game is welcome indeed, making us hunger for a proper, official remake in this vein even more. You can head over to CryZENx's Discord server to download the latest version of the remake.
Nintendo hasn't shown any interest in developing a modern Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, so if a remake is coming, it will only do so in the distant future. With the series being as popular as it has ever been, as proved by The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's smashing success, the Japanese developer is more likely to expand on the open-world formula introduced in Breath of the Wild rather than going back and remaking games that haven't aged all that badly.
