The prices of MSI's upcoming Z790 MAX series motherboards have been revealed and they are well pricey, to say the least.
MSI's Latest Z790 MAX Motherboards Offer New Features, Improved Designs But Also Cost More
Last month, we gave you a closeup of MSI's upcoming Z790 MAX motherboards which are designed for Intel's 14th Gen CPUs while also supporting existing 13th and 12th Gen Desktop chips. The new MAX lineup adds improved power delivery, cooling, I/O, and new features such as WiFi 7 support as that's going to be a major marketing feature of the newly refreshed motherboards.
Leaker, chi11eddog, has now leaked out the prices of the MSI Z790 MAX motherboard lineup which is in line with the price hikes from other motherboard manufacturers, especially the Gigabyte Z790 refreshed family which we reported a couple of days ago over here.

Starting with the top of the spectrum, we have the MSI MEG Z790 GODLIKE MAX which is set to be the latest flagship and one of the most expensive motherboards around. The price is said to be set at an astonishing $1299 US which is even more expensive than the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 which starts at $1199 US. This is a $100 US price hike over the existing Z790 GODLIKE which costs 1199 US dollars.
Moving on to the next in the stack, we have the MSI MEG Z790 ACE MAX which costs $699 US and is a $89 US price hike over the current model which retails at $609 US. Next up we have the MSI MPG Z790 Carbon MAX WIFI which should retain for $499 US and that's a slight $20 US premium over its current non-MAX offering. The rest of the lineup includes the MPG Z790 EDGE TI MAX WIFI for $399, the MAG Z790 Tomahawk MAX WIFI for $329, and the PRO Z790-A MAX WIFI for $279 US. The same motherboards in their Non-MAX iterations cost $379, $289 and $239 US, respectively. Following is the pricing comparison:

The MSI Z790 MAX series motherboards are expected to launch later this month and once again, will fully support Intel's 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh Desktop CPU family. We have heard about specialized BIOS features also being prepped for these motherboards.
