ESSENCORE KLEVV is a brand that's been synonymous with memory & flash products for years now & produces some really high-quality DRAM products, especially in its KLEVV gaming lineup which is jam-packed with an extensive portfolio catering to all kinds of consumers.
With the arrival of DDR5 memory, KLEVV started to expand its memory lineup into mainstream and gaming categories. Serving the mainstream audiences are the standard SO-DIMM and U-DIMM ram kits while the gaming side gets the more premium BOLT V, CRAS V RGB, and CRAS XR5 RGB series memory. For today's review, we were provided KLEVV's fastest DDR5 memory solution to date with up to 8000 MT/s transfer speeds. This is also one of the fastest memory kits around with a specific set of enthusiast motherboards only able to support such frequencies.
KLEVV CRAS XR5 RGB DDR5-8000 32 GB Memory Kit Specifications
The KLEVV CRAS XR5 RGB memory kits are designed with a premium nature in mind. That's already apparent from its design and the specs on offer. The kit I received is optimized at a clock speed of 8000 Mbps (PC5-64000). The memory kit consists of dual 16 GB DIMMs which make up a total of 32 GB in capacity.
The memory kit has a tested latency spec of CL38 and the timings are 38-48-48-128 for this specific kit. The voltage set at reference is 1.55V which is very aggressive considering that most DIMMs will be set around 1.35V. The memory kit comes in an unbuffered package with an on-die ECC (Error Correction) design. The memory kit is fully compliant with Intel's XMP and AMD EXPO profiles and can be easily set to its rated clock speeds through the BIOS shipped on the latest motherboards.

KLEVV CRAS XR5 RGB DDR5-8000 32 GB Memory Kit Unboxing and Close-Up
The KLEVV CRAS XR5 RGB series memory comes in a small cardboard package colored in black. The front of the package has the name and a picture of the memory kit along with the SKU specs on the top right. The front also reads the Lifetime Warranty for the DDR5 memory kit.
The back of the package lists the various features of the KLEVV CRAS XR5 DDR5 memory kits along with the supported RGB sync software. Our kit was marked as a "Marketing Sample" and we were told that the retail packaging would be slightly different.
Straight out of the package, the KLEVV CRAS XR5 RGB impresses me with its unique design, covered in a white and black (dual-tone) heatsink and an acrylic RGB diffuser on the top.
Just like the majority of other memory brands, KLEVV has the RGB diffuser running on the top too but it also covers a slight portion on the sides which can extend the RGB LED illumination in your PC.
The front side of the KLEVV CRAS XR5 DDR5 memory has the series logo, and DDR5 labels while the other side has a sticker with the serial number and the specifications listed.
The dual-tone looks fantastic and the RGB lighting makes this memory kit look great with almost all kinds of build.
Even with the RGB diffuser, the KLEVV CRAS XR5 DDR5 memory modules are just 8.9mm tall which shouldn't be much of an issue in terms of CPU cooler clearance. They also have a nice rounded and coated design which is a welcome touch over the more aggressive edges used by some other ram brands.
Following is how the KLEVV CRAS XR5 DDR5 memory kits look like when installed on your PC:
Intel Z790 / Core i9-13900K DDR5 Memory Test Setup
For testing, I used the latest Intel Core i9 13900K processor along with the Gigabyte Z790 AERO G motherboard which can support higher frequencies memory without any issues. The XMP & EXPO profile for each respective RAM kit was enabled.

DDR5 Memory Kit Performance Tests With Intel Core i9-13900K
I have separated the performance tests into two sections. The first section consists of pure synthetic and general workload tests while the second section focuses on gaming performance and how different games are affected by higher-clocked memory sticks.
AIDA64 Memory Bandwidth Benchmark
For AIDA64 memory tests, I ran the kits at stock speeds since overclocking isn't the main focus here as stated above.
AIDA64 Memory Tests
SuperPI
Super PI is used by many overclockers to test the performance and stability of their computers. In the overclocking community, the standard program provides a benchmark for enthusiasts to compare “world record” pi calculation times and demonstrate their overclocking abilities. The program can also be used to test the stability of a certain overclock speed.
SuperPi (Lower is Better)
Winrar
WinRAR is a powerful archive manager. It can back up your data and reduce the size of email attachments, decompress RAR, ZIP, and other files downloaded from the Internet, and create new archives in RAR and ZIP file format.
Winrar 5.8 (Higher is Better)
Gaming Performance Tests
Gaming applications generally don't see huge gains with different memory kits but DDR5 has enabled a huge gain in memory frequency which can impact gaming performance. Moving from the stock 2133 Mbps (DDR4) to 6000+ Mbps can have a huge effect on performance and the improved CAS timings on some of the high-end SKUs can result in better overall FPS and system responsiveness.
Battlefield V (1440P)
Sid Meir's Civilization VI (1440P)
DOOM Eternal (1440P)
Furthermore, while 8 GB has become the standard for gaming PCs, modern applications such as editing software and multi-tasking users can benefit hugely from 16 GB and 32 GB kits which have become more common in the gaming market over the last couple of years.
Conclusion - Brutally Fast
The KLEVV CRAS XR5 memory is the fastest DDR5 memory module that I have tested to date. With speeds of DDR5-8000, these kits run stupidly fast and offer some huge performance potential with apps that are memory bandwidth-constrained.
But a memory kit of this spec is designed specifically for enthusiasts and overclockers. The reason is quite simple, the QVL support list is very limited and there are only certain boards that will utilize the DDR5-8000 spec out of the box or with the latest BIOS. You can easily overclock these DIMMs with their monstrous 1.55V voltages but it is something to keep an eye on as these are the upper limit of these DIMMs.
We also aren't clear in terms of pricing and knowing how much high-end DDR5-7000+ kits go for these days, the KLEVV CRAS XR5 won't come in cheap. Expect to pay a massive premium but if you're someone who is always gunning for the best, then KLEVV has a very impressive high-end solution out right now.
