A Starfield NVIDIA DLSS 3 Frame Generation mod was released online, bringing a massive performance boost when playing the open-world RPG by Bethesda on NVIDIA's RTX 4000 series GPUs.
The mod, which was promised by PureDark even before the game launched, is now available only to Patreon subscribers and comes with some issues that can cause crashing on some system configurations, but generally seems to be working quite well, as highlighted in the videos below, bringing a significant performance boost.
While DLSS 3 Frame Generation is only available on NVIDIA RTX 4000 series GPUs, even those without one may be able to enjoy a performance boost in the future in Starfield with AMD FSR 3.0, which will introduce a frame interpolation tech called Fluid Motion Frames usable on all GPUs. While it hasn't been confirmed if Starfield will officially support the new version of AMD's tech once it becomes available, modder PureDark confirmed that they will implement it into the game if AMD ever releases the FSR 3.0 SDK.
