NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3090 SUPER graphics card has once again been pictured and shows us the card that never officially launched and got replaced by the Ti variant.

This won't be the first time we are hearing about a SUPER variant of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090. In fact, the rumors of a SUPER variant started as early as the launch of the RTX 3090 with gamers & enthusiasts anticipating either a SUPER or Ti variant to follow up shortly. But as we know, it took 1.5 years for NVIDIA to release its flagship graphics card under the RTX 3090 Ti branding.
Now new pictures of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 SUPER graphics card have emerged which show a full-on matte and metallic black aesthetic. The graphics card adopts the same triple-fan cooler as the final "Ti" variant in the Founders Edition design. It looks like the decision to change the naming scheme from "SUPER" To "Ti" happened very close to launch since we remember NVIDIA delaying the card by a few weeks.
Last year, we also got to see a few more pictures of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 SUPER graphics card from a different angle which confirmed the existence of such a variant. The card reportedly featured the same specifications as the RTX 3090 Ti with 10752 CUDA cores, 1860 MHz boost speeds, and 24 GB GDDR6X VRAM running across a 384-bit bus at 21 Gbps for a total of 1008.4 GB/s bandwidth. The card also had the same BIOS version as the RTX 3090 Ti Founders Edition so there's virtually no difference besides some subtle changes to the cooler and the "SUPER" naming.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti has since been replaced by the GeForce RTX 4090 and while the green time might be in no rush to launch a higher-end "SUPER" or "Ti" variant of it anytime soon, we can expect some sort of prototypes and configurations already prepped up just in case there's market demand for it.
