MSI is preparing a large armament of QD-OLED gaming monitors which will range from 27" & Up To 49" sizes with refresh rates of up to 360Hz.
MSI QD-OLED Lineup For 1H 2024 Will Have Something For All Kinds of Gamers, Up To 49", DQHD, 360Hz Panels
The latest information comes from a well-regarded leaker, chi11eddog, who has amassed a high level of credibility when it comes to MSI leaks and other general hardware. According to the leaker, MSI is preparing at least six next-gen QD-LED gaming displays which will be featured within MPG and MAG lineups. The models are listed below:
- MPG 491CQP QD-OLED, DQHD/144 (5120x1440p)
- MAG 341CQP QD-OLED, UWQHD/175 (3440x1440p)
- MPG 321UPX QD-OLED, UHD/240 (3840x2160p)
- MAG 321UPX QD-OLED, UHD/240 (3840x2160p)
- MPG 271QPX QD-OLED, QHD/360 (2560x1440p)
- MAG 271QPX QD-OLED, QHD/360 (2560x1440p)
All MSI gaming displays will feature QD-OLED technology so you can expect the best display and viewing quality. The first gaming display to hit shelves would be the MAG 341CQP which is a QD-OLED design with a UWQHD (1800R) panel featuring a 175Hz refresh rate and USB Type-C 15W charging. This monitor is said to be a more competitive variant of the MSI MEG 342C which is the higher-end variant that costs $999 US so we can expect a way lower price for the MPG model and all the while retaining the same panel specs minus the premium aesthetics of the MEG segment.
In January, around CES 2024, MSI plans to expand its lineup with even more models including a 49" MPG 491CQP QD-OLED design with a dual-QHD (1800R) panel with 144Hz refresh rates and a USB Type-C 90W charging capability. There will also be four flat panel designs in the MPG and MAG line measuring 32" and 27". The 32" panels will come with UHD resolution and 240Hz refresh rate while the 27" panels will come with WQHD resolution and 360Hz refresh rate. Each panel will be available with either 90W or 15W Type-C capabilities.
Each monitor will come with a host of AMD Freesync and NVIDIA G-Sync capabilities but its a bit too early to tell what kind of certification they get. Currently, there's no word on the pricing of the MSI gaming monitor lineup but we can expect more information in the coming months as we get closer to their launch.
