During yesterday's Diablo 4 developer Livestream, Blizzard showed off the new Diablo 4 Season 2 vampiric armor set.
The new armor set is part of the Season 2 battle pass and is looking pretty haunting. As said, this set is clearly vampire-inspired and features blood spatters across the gothic-looking armor detailed with gold. The set comes complete with bat wings as well a bat-winged waist cloth and a stunningly looking sealed helmet. What could be interesting here (as noted by Wowhead), is that the hands of the characters are somewhat vampiric as well. Whether this is due to the armor set or because of the new vampiric powers within season 2 is currently unknown. Still, it's an interesting detail that fans will appreciate. Diablo 4 Season 2 'Season of Blood' kicks off later this month on October 17th. As revealed during the developer live stream, the game will be launching on Steam alongside Season 2. Here's what community director Adam Fletcher said about launching the game on Valve's platform:
"We are bringing more Diablo IV players into the world, because Diablo IV is going to be launching on Steam with the launch Season 2", he said. "The nice part of being on Steam of course is it carries over all the same elements of all the other platforms -- crossplay, cross progression will work immediately. So if you have friends on Battle.net and you'd prefer to play on Steam, you can of course play together from both sides, which is awesome to see."
Diablo 4 Season 2 will introduce a new questline, new vampiric powers as well five additional endgame bosses, new unique items, and more. "At the behest of their dark master, a newly turned army of ravenous vampires has set their sights on Sanctuary", the description of the new Season reads. "The master’s sinister plot remains a shrouded mystery but their pursuit for the blood of innocents has caused an uproar. You must learn to hunt the hunter—your fate depends on it."
