Colorful is expected to unveil a new "revamped" ITX motherboard, featuring the B760 chipset along with support for faster DDR5 memory standard.
Colorful's Upcoming B760 ITX Motherboard Is Going To Offer Some Impressive Memory Support Capabilities, Rivaling ASUS's ROG ITX
Mini-ITX motherboards are definitely a component worth considering in today's time since most gamers and even casual PC users want something that has a smaller footprint while offering big performance. Although the Mini-ITX approach has seen less traction this generation in the graphics card segment, the motherboard segment remains vibrant with lots of ITX options to select from.
Now Colorful Technology has disclosed on its official Bilbili account that the company is planning to release an upgraded variant of its original "B760I FROZEN WiFi" motherboard, supporting the faster DDR5-8200 memory type.
A quick recap on the capabilities of the Colorful B760I FROZEN WiFi, it features a 7+1+1 VRM phase design with a DrMOS power supply, ensuring a seamless power-delivering experience. Moreover, the motherboard originally supported the older DDR4 memory type, along with two PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 SSD slots as well. The motherboard came with a design language quite common amongst Colorful's "FROZEN" line of products, with a dominant white and black color scheme.
It is revealed that Colorful plans on launching a "revamped" variant of the original motherboard, with upgraded memory compatibility as well as improvements being made within the power delivery department as well. The company also posted a RunMemtestPro screenshot where the board was running DDR5-8200 memory (CL38) stable.
The new Colorful Intel B760 Mini-ITX motherboard will definitely be a worthwhile addition to the line of ITX motherboards. We expect more information such as specs and pricing from Colorful to arrive soon, hence stay tuned for more updates.
