Modder LukeFZ has released a free DLSS 3 mod for Assassin's Creed Mirage. Once again, just like with Starfield, GeForce RTX 40 users who don't feel like spending for PureDark's DLSS 3 mod can rely on LukeFZ's work to get a performance boost.
Just like for LukeFZ's previous DLSS 3 mods, this one replaces the game's default AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 implementation with NVIDIA Deep Learning Super Sampling with the addition of Frame Generation support (unavailable in the vanilla game).
As such, you should keep FSR 2 enabled in the graphics menu and tweak its quality settings as you would for DLSS. Frame Generation can be toggled on and off at runtime with the END hotkey; moreover, Chromatic Aberration (one of the main critiques of Assassin's Creed Mirage's visuals) can also be toggled with the F6 hotkey. The DLSS 3 mod can be tweaked further via the FSR2Streamline_config.json file.
The installation method depends on whether you are using an ASI (Arbitrary Script Injection) loader. If you do not have an ASI Loader installed (or are not using SpecialK):
- Download the latest release.
- Extract and place everything in the game executable directory.
- Download both the latest DLSS and DLSS Frame Generation DLLs and place them in the 'streamline' folder.
- Launch the game.
If you already have an ASI Loader installed (or are using SpecialK):
- Download the latest release.
- Extract and place the 'streamline' folder in the game executable directory.
- Extract and place FSR2Streamline.asi in the directory your loader loads from.
- Download both the latest DLSS and DLSS Frame Generation DLLs and place them in the 'streamline' folder in the game directory.
- Launch the game.
Assassin's Creed Mirage got an 8 out of 10 score in Nathan's review of the game.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage doesn’t make the sharpest first impression with its dated visuals and by-the-book mechanics, but like its hooded protagonist, the game sneaks up on you with its manageably-sized yet vibrant map, intricately-woven campaign, and varied missions. Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s blade may be slightly tarnished, but it still leaves a mark.
