Intel's 14th Gen flagship, the Core i9-14900K, has just achieved the world frequency record by clocking up to 9.1 GHz.

Intel Core i9-14900K Posts An Unbelievable 9.1 GHz CPU Frequency World Record On ASUS's ROG Maximus Z790 APEX Encore Motherboard

New CPU launches always come with record-breaking performance numbers and Intel's 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh Desktop CPU is no different. Today, various overclockers published their OC feats achieved using Intel's latest and greatest chips but the one that stands out from the rest is definitely Elmor's CPU Frequency run where he pushed the Core i9-14900K to new heights.

Last year, Intel's Core i9-13900K and Core i9-13900KS both broke past the 8 GHz and 9 GHz CPU clock frequency barrier which was a major feat in the overclocking landscape and this year, the Core i9-14900K is taking things one step ahead with Elmor pushing the chip up to 9.1 GHz on the latest ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 APEX Encore motherboard which has been fine-tuned specifically to achieve some big performance numbers. The chip was running with just 8 P-Cores enabled and with hyper-threading disabled under liquid helium which dropped the temps to the sub 200C level.

Although this was the highest overclocking frequency achieved, the HWBot standings registered the 9.044 GHz frequency which was also achieved on the same motherboard.

In addition to that, ASUS also secured three more world records which include SUPERPI 32M from Freyama (Japan), Cinebench R20 from OGS (Greece), and a DDR5 frequency record of 11,614 MT/s from lupin_no_musume (Hong Kong). Overall, these records are very impressive and showcase the overclocking knowledge and capabilities that each overclocker has demonstrated here plus how hardware is pushing the limit each generation.
