Blizzard has once again suspended Diablo 4 trading in Season 2 due to a duplication exploit.
Trading has been disabled for players until further notice while the development team is investigating the issue and working on a fix. Blizzard's official statement states that players participating in item and gold duplication exploits will be sanctioned. Whether this means being banned remains to be seen. "We’ve suspended player trading in Diablo IV until further notice due to a duplication exploit", Blizzard writes on the official Blizzard forums. "We are working on a fix to amend this issue and will update you once we’ve reinstated the ability to trade. We will continue to monitor this activity to ensure a healthy playing experience for all."
The message continues, "Any account that engages in gold and item duplication exploits will be actioned in accordance with our End User License Agreement".
Back in August of this year, Blizzard also disabled trading in the game due to players using an exploit to dupe items and/or gold. After a temporary suspension of the trading function, Blizzard re-enabled trading within a day. Fast forward two months, and we now have another exploit that needs to be addressed.
Diablo 4 is available globally now for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. The game became available on Steam last week alongside the launch of Season 2 - the Season of Blood.
