The release date for Assassin’s Creed Mirage has changed, but it’s not the bad news you might think. The game has not been delayed -- instead, it’s been announced the Ubisoft Bordeaux/Ubisoft Montreal title has already gone gold and will in fact be launching a week earlier than previously slated. I guess making a less expansive, old-school Assassin’s Creed has its benefits – you can actually get the game out on time!

October is set to be a busy month as usual, with games like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Super Mario Wonder likely to be monsters. By moving a little earlier in the month, Ubisoft might give Assassin’s Creed Mirage a bit more breathing room. Given their recent struggles, Ubisoft needs all the hits they can get, so they want to give Mirage every opportunity to succeed.
