Immortals of Aveum, the new Unreal Engine 5 fantasy shooter from startup developer Ascendant Studios, isn’t a full-on open-world game, but it is chock full of collectibles, secrets, and extra challenges outside of its main campaign. So, this raises a question – is there content in Immortals of Aveum you can miss out on? Or can you always double back and clean up any content you passed up on? So, are there things you can miss out on in Immortals of Aveum? Thankfully, the answer is no! While I can’t promise there’s not some minor breakable box you can’t miss, all the major stuff – Golden Chests, Legendary Gear, and “Shroudfane” sidequest missions can’t be missed.
Once you’ve completed Immortal of Aveum’s main campaign, you’ll be returned to a hub area in the Kalthus region you previously visited shortly before the end of the game. At this point, you’re free to travel the world via all the game’s portals and clean up any Golden Chests and Shroudfane sidequests you haven’t tackled yet. There are even a series of special post-game-exclusive Shroudfanes that contain particularly-tough boss fights that will put your character builds to the test. Check those out to fully 100 percent the game and claim yourself some badass high-level gear.
There you are, a simple answer to a simple question. No need to worry if you pass by a tantalizing chest that you can’t quite figure out how to get to. You can always go back later, so feel free to tackle the campaign at your own pace without any FOMO.
