Google is apparently sending out a survey to Pixel Superfans, and based on that, we might be getting some new AI-powered camera features. While this does not surprise us, I am glad that Google is adding more features to the Pixel 8 because I really want to see just how AI has made the phone even more effective. This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, of course, because knowing Google, these features were going to make their way to the new Pixel phones anyway.
Pixel 8 is possibly going to deliver some AI-related features that will make the experience a lot better for photographers
Based on the survey provided by Google, this is the information we have on what Pixel 8 might be bringing to the table in terms of camera features.
- “No worries if someone’s distracted during a group photo, your phone’s AI can still make it into a perfect group photo.”
- “Create the perfect team picture by merging everyone’s best shot with your phone’s AI technology so everyone looks great.”
Based on the information, it appears that the Pixel 8 will have several AI-powered features, and I am really glad we are getting to see more features powered by AI. It appears that the new phones will be able to blend people into the pictures, and while it might seem like a gimmick, I actually like how the feature sounds, and I am hoping that it will actually be really nice when it finally comes out.
In addition to that, we have also learned that the new set of features will actually allow you to engage in other AI-powered features as well. Some information that was leaked by Kamila Wojciechowska reveals the following,
“Have endless fun with your team photos with your phone’s creative AI editing tools that let you instantly change the photo background, peoples’ clothes, or truly anything else in the photo.” This means that the Pixel 8 will let users make some really nice edits, so we will get to see a host of features coming to the new phones.
None of this should be a surprise to anyone. Google has been hard at work since the Pixel 6 to improve the overall artificial intelligence-related features, and the Pixel 8 getting these new features is something that many of us already knew. What I am more interested in seeing is just how these features are implemented once the devices are finally out and just how good they become after a while. The phones are supposed to go official sometime in October, and you can expect a lot more details in the coming weeks.
