A Forza Motorsport Xbox Series X|S vs PC comparison video has been released, comparing the game's visuals and performance on the different platforms.
Yesterday we reported that the PC performance of the upcoming racer is far from great with apparent stutters across the board and visuals that aren't that impressive on current-gen hardware. You can check out a video that we made on this subject below.
Ahead of the game's global launch next week, YouTuber 'ElAnalistaDebits' has released one of the first (if not THE first) comparison videos, showing Forza Motorsport running in the different visual modes on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
The general takeaway from this video? The Xbox Series X version comes close to matching PC visuals in the game's Quality Mode. Also, it shows some impressive optimization on consoles, especially on the Xbox Series S. On the other hand, you could argue that while the game looks good across the board, it's not as visually impressive as some would have hoped. On some occasions, especially on the Series S, Turn 10's racer looks somewhat blurry. Some 'fans' even suggest that Gran Turismo 7 and 2014's Driveclub pack more impressive visuals. We guess this is just a matter of personal taste (or favored platform for that matter..). Check out the new comparison video below and judge for yourself. On which platform will you be playing Forza Motorsport, and if you're playing on Xbox, in which visual mode? Hit the comments below.
Forza Motorsport launches on October 10 for PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. The game will available at launch on Game Pass. Here's what we wrote about the racer in our review-in-progress:
"Performance is still an issue. I've launched the game four times since installing my new GPU, and each time, the game has had to optimise its shaders. This hasn't been a change of location on my PC; it's still installed on an SSD, so I can't see a need for the optimisation beyond the first launch after the GPU. The problem I have here is that it isn't a short wait. I would argue that at least two races were lost each time I waited. It adds up if you can't get mammoth sessions in and have to drop in and out a lot."
