The Phison E26 portfolio of Gen5 SSDs keeps on expanding and the latest addition is the Silicon Power XS80. The XS80 is a PCIe Gen5 SSD that comes with 232-layer NAND flash technology and makes use of NVMe 2.0, offering twice the data transfer rates of PCIe Gen4 SSDs.
The XS80 offers exceptional gaming performance with the latest PCIe Gen5 technology, NVMe 2.0 support, and 232-layer 3D NAND flash, delivering twice the data transfer rate of Gen4 and four times that of Gen3.
It reaches mind-blowing read speeds up to 10,000MB/s[1] for instant load times and smooth gameplay, especially in open-world games. It also reaches incredibly impressive write speeds up to 10,000MB/s1, which speeds up installations, cut progress saving time, and reduce in-game stuttering. This SSD features active cooling with a custom-crafted aluminum alloy heatsink, intelligent thermal regulation technology, and SP Toolbox software to maintain stable performance and prevent overheating. It's available in 1TB and 2TB, making it ideal for gamers with large libraries and multitasking needs.
The Silicon Power XS80 PCIe Gen5 SSD comes in two capacities, 1 TB and 2 TB. It features speeds of up to 10,000 MB/s Read and 10,000 MB/s Write while offering an estimated MTBF of 1,600K hours. Being a high-end product, Silicon Power has equipped the XS80 with a high-performance heatsink that retains passive cooling and doesn't feature the loud active fan solution that we have seen on some other brands. This heatsink is big enough to keep the SSD cool when it's running at full load.
Furthermore, the Silicon Power XS80 Gen5 NVMe SSD is available in silver and black color flavors so you can select whichever you want based on your preferences to match your PC build. The heatsink comes with thermal pads on both the top and bottom sides of the SSD to ensure adequate cooling. The whole thing weighs 53g and measures 24x80.4x20.5mm. All XS80 SSDs will come with a 5-year warranty. There's no word on the pricing yet but we have reached out to Silicon Power for confirmation.
