Japanese graphics card maker, Sycom, is offering the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 & RTX 4060 Ti GPUs with Noctua cooling. Both cards are based on a custom cooler that features dual Noctua PWM fans for improved thermal performance while producing less noise than traditional coolers.
High-Performance Noctua Cooling Comes To NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 & RTX 4060 Ti Graphics Cards From Japanese AIB
ASUS is the only graphics card manufacturer in the industry to offer custom designs with Noctua fan coolers. The company has offered its ASUSxNoctua designs in both RTX 30 and RTX 40 series but these designs come with two major drawbacks, one is their super huge size, measuring more than 4 slots and the other is the massive price tag that is attached to them.
Now, Japanese AIB and System-builder, Syncom, has started to offer Noctua fan cooling designs with its GeForce RTX 4070 and GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Silent Master Graphics series. Both designs feature a dual-fan configuration attached to the reference PCB of each card.
Starting with the Sycom NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Silent Master Graphics card, we are looking at a 3.5-slot design (278x66x145mm) that features two Noctua NF-A12x25 LS-PWM fans which are embedded within a custom fan cover developed by Nagao Seisakusho.
These fans push air towards a massive heatsink that features four 8mm heat pipes and the card also comes with a metal backplate. As expected, it offers 0dB operation and according to the official performance statistics, the Sycom RTX 4070 with Noctua cooling offers -22% lower noise output and -15% lower temperatures versus a standard 2-fan RTX 4070 graphics card.
The other card is the Sycom NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Silent Master which comes in both 16 GB and 8 GB flavors. This variant features a 2.2-slot (250x44x120mm) & dual-fan design. It incorporates the Noctua NF-A9x14 PWM fans which allow for the slimmer profile, pushing air towards a heatsink the features three 6mm heat pipes along with a metal backplate. Compared to a standard NVIDIA RTX 4060 Ti design, the Noctua fans provide -20% lower noise output and -7.5% lower temperatures.
To make things even more interesting, Sycom also offers pre-built systems that feature Noctua's passive NH-P1 cooler and a choice of the two graphics cards that users can customize. The actual prices are not mentioned but it's great to see Noctua fans being featured in these DIY cards and we hope to see more of them from other manufacturers soon.
