NVIDIA has silently adjusted the prices of its flagship GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition graphics card for the European market.
European Markets See Slight Rise In Prices of NVIDIA's Flagship GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition GPU
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition GPU originally launched at a price of €1949 in the European market and has seen a gradual decline since then. Now, a year since its launch, NVIDIA has decided to raise the prices by a small margin. Historically, these GPU price adjustments were a result of the fluctuating exchange rates which was quite rampant in 2022 followed by stability in the current year.
As of right now, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition graphics card is listed for €1799 which is higher than the €1769 it hit a few months ago but at the same time, it is still much lower than the €1949 MSRP that the card had during its launch. That's a -7.6% decrease in pricing over the launch MSRP.

- October 2023: €1799
Once again, the actual reason for the price adjustment is not mentioned but it can be seen that the Euro has gained value over the last couple of months and is reaching parity with the USD so the prices should have dropped down further if the exchange rate was the primary driver of this change. Another reason could be the impending shortages of NVIDIA's flagship GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards which could see limited availability as NVIDIA prioritizes AI chips and limits the GPU production for its gaming consumers.
Of all the GeForce RTX 40 series cards, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 is the only one that has seen this price adjustment so far and there's no such change happening elsewhere in the world. NVIDIA also has the freedom to adjust the RTX 4090 to whatever price they want still the competition has nothing that compares against it and high-end gamers are buying this card even more than the RTX 4080 which is priced less.
