Sony has reported its Q2 2024 financial results today, revealing that its PS5 console has now reached 65.5 million units sold. Hardware sales were slightly down year-over-year: whereas 3.8 million PlayStation 5 consoles were sold this past quarter, Q2 2023 saw 4.9 million PS5s sold. However, this was more than offset by the increased sales elsewhere in the PlayStation department. For example, game software for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles reached 77.7 million units sold this quarter, a 14.94% increase compared to Q2 2023's 67.6 million units. According to Bloomberg, this was largely because of the outstanding success of […]
Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree expansion brings so much new content to the game that it nearly feels like a sequel. But it also reimagines a handful of ideas from the base game to maintain a sense of familiarity. One of these features is the abilit...

We’re about halfway through the summer and I’ve given up on avoiding sweat You’re probably about halfway to giving up on Elden Ring’s Shaddw of the Erdtree DLC, but we can help with that. We’ve also got a tip for a free game for you to snag, and some F...
There’s no denying that Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree expansion is a tough experience. Even after finding all of the DLC’s many Scadutree Fragments to improve your damage and survivability, the bosses in this extra slice of FromSoftware’s popular ...

Elden Ring’s first and only DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, has added vast numbers of new weapons, talismans and spirit ashes, reinvigorating how you approach the army of new enemies and bosses. And while those fights will always prove the game’s biggest c...
To think, the Shadow Keep seemed to be going so well, and then you run into a vicious, fiery, reptilian wall. Messmer is just an absolute unholy nightmare of unorthodox timing, neverending combos, health-sapping flames, and massive one-shot explosions....
By now, most players who have dived into Shadow of the Erdtree have probably met Igon, Elden Ring’s most tortured but ardent hater. Since the release of the expansion some weeks ago, Igon’s quickly become a fan-favorite character, which has a lot to do...
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree ends on a real motherfucker of a boss. Seasoned and novice players alike have mostly loved the journey featured in the expansion to 2022’s biggest game, but a decent few are split on the very final boss fight and how f...
FromSoftware's Elden Ring unsurprisingly made its way back to the UK monthly sales chart for June, largely thanks to the release of its one and only expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, which sold over five million units globally in three days. The GSD data was shared today by GamesIndustry, who noted that Elden Ring sales grew by 467% compared to last month. Even that big of a jump wasn't enough to make it to the top three, though. Those spots were secured by two Electronic Arts sports games (EA Sports FC 24 and F1 24) and Rockstar's evergreen Grand Theft […]
Compared to the Shadow Keep, Shadow of the Erdtree’s Ruins of Rauh can actually feel like a walk in the park. That’s kinda literal, too. It’s all greenery and waterfalls. And oh, look at that, there’s even some pretty butterflies floating around that j...
Sure, Shadow of the Erdtree has its share of colossal pains in the ass, but even in a world where the likes of the Scadutree Avatar and Messmer exist, there’s at least a sort of begrudging fairness to them. They can be scouted and planned for. You can ...
