NVIDIA’s Annualized R&D Expenses Are Now Running At 2X The Rate Of AMD’s

Research and development (R&D) expenses are one of the highest quality markers of future revenue growth. Given NVIDIA's heightened revenue projections for the upcoming quarters, it is hardly a surprise that it is now absolutely dominating its peers, including AMD, when it comes to the R&D metric. $NVDA is widening the R&D gap with its closest competitor. Annualizing last quarter's R&D spend, NVDA is investing now almost at twice the level of $AMD. And the latter will have to split R&D between GPUs, CPUs and FPGAs, whereas NVDA can fully focus on building out the AI stack. pic.twitter.com/nL4BpTPNeU — Tech […]

Jensen casually explains the killing of Investment Banking and Consulting Analyst programs. ☠️ $NVDA 👀 “EVERY SINGLE APPLICATION - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Premier, AutoCAD - […]

SpaceX Smashes Expectations & Catches 232 Feet Tall Starship Booster In The Air During Flight 5!

SpaceX made history earlier today after it became the first company in the world to successfully catch a 232 feet tall rocket as part of a re usability attempt. The catch came after SpaceX's Starship Flight 5 today, which took off from Boca Chica, Texas, early in the morning. With Starship being caught by the tower, SpaceX has completed an important milestone in its test campaign. All eyes are now on the second stage Starship spacecraft and whether it successfully completes a soft splashdown in the Indian Ocean. Starship's tower catch was its riskiest endeavor to date, and SpaceX's ability […]

SpaceX Says It Will Lose $4 Million Per Day If Starship Launches Are Suspended By Court

In its response to a lawsuit by the environment group Save RGV, SpaceX argues that halting Starship tests in Texas will cost the firm millions of dollars daily and risk its ability to earn revenue and milestone payments for agreements that it has signed with the Air Force and other bodies. SpaceX's water deluge system for the Starship Super Heavy booster requires releasing copious amounts of water to cool the pad during launch, and in its complaint filed yesterday, Save RGV sought the court to stop SpaceX from using the deluge system until its claims were addressed. In its response […]

Wedbush: Tesla Might Be “Underestimated” By 40%, Yesterday’s Event Will Be “Historic” In 2-3 Years

With Tesla's stock bleeding nearly 9% in value after yesterday's robotaxi event, Wedbush's Dan Ives believes that the event was a glimpse into the future. Ives explained his position during a talk with CNBC earlier today, and he stands out among the pack of Wall Street analysts who were left unimpressed by Tesla's announcement due to a lack of details. Ives believes that three or four years from now, yesterday's event will appear "as a historical event" since autonomy is the next leg of Tesla's story, with the firm poised to be a "clear leader in broader autonomous." Ives never […]

SpaceX Falcon 9 Cleared To Fly By FAA After Mishaps On NASA & Starlink Missions

After three mishaps for the Falcon 9 rocket earlier this year that saw a second stage malfunction in space, a second stage that failed to land on the designated location on Earth, and a first stage booster tipping over, the FAA informed SpaceX earlier today that the firm is clear to return to regular operations with its Falcon 9 rocket. While SpaceX had launched a mission for the European Space Agency (ESA) after the mishap, the mission did not see the SpaceX return either the second stage rocket or the booster to Earth, which meant that the launch was able […]

SpaceX Ready For 2024’s Biggest Starship Test: A ‘Chopstick’ Catch Of 232 Feet Tall Rocket

With the weekend with us, SpaceX is moving full speed ahead to conduct the fifth Starship test flight on Sunday. Starship Flight 5 was dealt with a setback last month after SpaceX revealed that the FAA's license approval was taking longer than expected and would likely see Flight 5 delayed to late November, as per the agency's estimates. However, things took a dramatic turn this week after the FAA's initial airmen notices and NASA's schedule for its observation aircraft both hinted that Flight 5 might take place in October. SpaceX confirmed later that Flight 5 could fly as soon as […]

NASA KSC’s Surroundings “Eerily Calm” As Hurricane Milton’s Eye Passes Over It

As Hurricane Milton makes its way over Florida, things are "eerily calm" at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. The KSC has been locked down ahead of the hurricane's arrival and has transitioned from requiring employees to report on site as directed by managers to only allowing access for essential emergency personnel and some other team members over the past few days. With the KSC now in HURCON I, NASA broadcaster Megan Cruz shared fresh footage from the historic building as the KSC was under Milton's eye. Morgan Stanley Details What Caused NVIDIA’s Blackwell Hiccup, Asserts That The Blackwell Production Ramp-Up Appears “Quite Strong”

Given the quantum of fund inflows into AI-related investment themes, Wall Street appears laser-focused on NVIDIA's Blackwell production ramp-up as a guarantor of sorts for the secular AI tailwind. Today, Morgan Stanley has penned yet another note on NVIDIA's latest GPU architecture, this time choosing to divulge some additional information regarding what exactly caused a production bottleneck over the summer. As we've noted in previous posts, NVIDIA had confirmed the rumors of a minor Blackwell design flaw during its recent earnings call, but assured investors that the resulting low-yields issue was rectified by implementing a few minor changes to the […]
