Apple is increasingly focusing on building its own devices and expanding its ecosystem by taking steps towards a more native experience for users and relying less on third-party accessories. While the Cupertino-based tech giant's HomePod and AppleTV have left quite the mark in the smart home category, it generally relies more on outsourcing cameras and other hardware for smart homes. Now, a new report suggests that the company intends to create a fully integrated experience by developing its own smart home accessories. Gurman hints about Apple working on making smart home products like security cameras for a more integrated experience […]

Arkane Studios have had some ups and downs in the past few year, with Deathloop picking up numerous GOTY awards, but Redfall being pretty major disappointment. With that context, people have been wondering what may come next for the studio, and it turns out it’s not what anybody expected. Tonight at The Game Awards it was announced Marvel’s Blade is the next big project from Arkane Lyon. The game will continue on Arkane’s trademark open-ended gameplay, but from a different perspective – this will be a third-person, single-player action-adventure. It will also offer up a bit of a different setting […]
It’s always a good bet that Hideo Kojima may pop up to show something at The Game Awards, and he didn’t disappoint this evening. No, he didn’t show Death Stranding 2, instead he finally teased his long-ago announced Xbox-exclusive project. The first teaser focused on super-detailed facial animations of the game’s cast, including Sophia Lillis (the new It films), Hunter Schafer (Euphoria), and legendary German actor Udo Kier. Whatever he’s cooking up will make use of Xbox’s cloud tech, although it also seems to be playing off the fan-favorite P.T. with a reoccurring opening door motif. The game’s tagline seems […]
The God of War series typically hasn’t done DLC, with the 2018 God of War reboot never getting anything beyond a New Game+ mode and other minor content updates. Initially, it seemed like the same would be true for God of War Ragnarok, but in recent months rumors have begun to spread that the game will be getting an expansion. Well, today at The Game Awards Sony confirmed Kratos will be returning sooner than expected with God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla, a new free DLC launching -- next week! Based on the brief teaser trailer, it looks like the DLC […]
Back in October Destiny developer Bungie shocked many industry watchers when they enacted a deep round of layoffs, although the move became more understandable when it was revealed Destiny 2 missed its 2022 revenue targets by a whopping 45 percent. Clearly, things are not going that well over at Bungie, but a new report from IGN’s Rebekah Valentine paints an even more dire picture. According to Valentine’s sources, a lot of what’s going on at Bungie hinges on a potential full takeover of the company by Sony. While Bungie has had a variety of different corporate overlords, they’ve always maintained […]
Yesterday, after literally years of speculation, rumors, and leaks, Rockstar finally dropped the first teaser for Grand Theft Auto VI. The trailer has gone over well for the most part, although some were surprised to note that the game will only be launching on Xbox Series X/S and PS5, not PC. Rockstar has made a habit of this over the years, but the industry has changed and outside of console exclusives either developed or paid for by Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft, it’s extremely rare these days for a big AAA game to be released exclusively on console without a PC […]
You may not have it marked on your calendar, but December 4 is apparent Dragon Age Day. Unlike the Mass Effect franchise’s N7 Day, most of the festivities today are unofficial and fan-driven, but BioWare themselves have pitched in a little something. BioWare has released a teaser trailer, featuring peeks at some of the locales you’ll see in Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. A disclaimer says the trailer is a mix of cinematics and gameplay, so presumably, at least some of these images are in-engine. You can check out the teaser for yourself, below. Unfortunately, this teaser comes with a bit of […]

The traditional Winter Wonderland and Lunar New Year events are also returning and, of course, there will be a new battle pass and plenty of cosmetics on offer. You can check out the Overwatch 2 Season 8 […]
In recent years Capcom has had a lot of success with Resident Evil remakes, with new versions of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4 being major critical and commercial hits. Resident Evil 3 was slightly less successful, although it has its fans (I consider myself one of them). That said, the obvious candidates for Resident Evil remakes have all been done now, so will Capcom continue on with them? At a PlayStation event in Japan RE4 remake director Yasuhiro Anpo seemed to indicate there’s more in the works… “Yes. We’ve released three remakes so far and they have all […]
