After finishing a frustrating boss fight in Funko Fusion against a never-ending stream of baddies in a grocery store, I was finally done with Hot Fuzz’s fourth level. I could move on. A cutscene played but the audio was missing. That happens a lot in t...

Free-to-play shooter Halo Infinite just got a long, long overdue update to one of its more troubled modes: Big Team Battle. Featuring 24 players at once, Infinite’s large-scale playlist was always beleaguered by the fact that it had too few maps. Any s...
It’s been a shaky few years for Microsoft’s Halo franchise, and it seems a rumored battle royale take on the series isn’t coming to revive its fortunes. Halo Infinite arrived in 2021 to solid reviews, but 343 Industries has failed to deliver a satisfying flow of live-service content for the game’s free-to-play multiplayer. Back in 2022, Austin-Texas-based studio Certain Affinity confirmed that they’d been hired to evolve Halo in “new and exciting ways,” and the rumor was they were working on some sort of battle royale experience codenamed “Tatanka.” Later, it was rumored Certain Affinity’s project may have gone in […]
Nearly two years later to the day (Halo Infinite launched on December 8, 2021), the first-person shooter game can finally be considered feature complete thanks to the release of the Firefight PvE mode. As you'll probably recall, Halo Infinite had a lot of troubles throughout its entire development. The game was originally meant to be a launch title for the Xbox Series S and X consoles in November 2020, but 343 Industries had to delay it to 'deliver an experience' that could meet their vision. Fans ended up having to wait for more than an entire year, and yet they […]

Halo Infinite’s multiplayer is a damn chatty game. With voice lines regularly erupting from the series’ legendary announcer, the dueling Spartans themselves, and the series’ new personal AIs, voices come at you as often as bullets and grenades. Now, th...
I’m an uncompromising, loud-mouthed Halo apologist, but even I fell off of Halo Infinite. Despite 343 Industries’ latest game feeling just as good as a Halo game should, its strange, staccato launch and lack of new maps surrounded it with an air of per...
Nintendo has officially announced that it is suing PocketPair, the creators of Palworld, in collaboration with The Pokemon Company. In a statement on NintendoCoLtd on X, Nintendo filed a patent infringement lawsuit in the Tokyo District Court on September 18, 2024. This lawsuit aims to seek an injunction against infringement and damages after PocketPair allegedly infringed multiple patents in Palworld. This news isn't surprising, except that it didn't come sooner. Palworld was first released in January 2024. In the game, there are plenty of "Pals" that look incredibly similar to the creatures in Pokemon, to the point that it's bordering […]
The Serpent Crest Shield is a Medium Shield added in Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. It’s an excellent choice for those seeking full physical blocking abilities without being weighed down by one of the game’s massive Greatshields. We high...
