GSC Game World has announced that STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl has officially gone gold. This means the game is done, and a master copy has been sent for mass production (the game will be released on physical discs for Xbox, in addition to digital). In theory, this means no more delays are in order, although there's a famous precedent: CD Projekt RED's Cyberpunk 2077, which was confirmed to have gone gold on October 5, 2020, ahead of its planned November 19, 2020 launch date. However, on October 27, the Polish developer was forced to announce a short delay to […]

Despite the recent delay to February 18, 2025, Obsidian Entertainment continues to show off more of its upcoming game, Avowed. We recently heard that the number of endings is double-digit, and the studio also confirmed the frame rate target of 30 frames per second on Xbox consoles. Now, YouTuber Enfant Terrible has posted over an hour of new gameplay footage (available in gorgeous 4K resolution) that shows off three different archetypes players will find in Avowed: Blood Mage, Barbarian, and Ranger. The action RPG set in Eora, the world of Pillars of Eternity, has a classless system. As such, players […]
We've reported throughout the entire month that the excellent Fallout TV show (already renewed for a second season) spurred renewed interest in the whole franchise, with previous games clawing their way back to the weekly sales chart and setting new concurrency records. Despite all this hype, though, fans already know they will likely have to wait a long time before Bethesda can deliver a brand new Fallout title. That's because they are currently busy making The Elder Scrolls VI, which will take at least three to four more years to make, having only recently entered production. When you add a […]
The PlayStation 5 port of Obsidian Entertainment's Grounded comes with worse performance and lower image quality than Xbox Series X, a new technical analysis revealed today. Digital Foundry looked at the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch ports of the popular survival game, highlighting how both leave something to be desired, although the visual and performance cutbacks were expected on the Nintendo console due to its weak hardware. On Sony's console, however, the worse performance and lower image quality are quite surprising, considering how its hardware is not that different from that of the Xbox Series X. Grounded on PlayStation 5 […]

OpenAI has been in the news since its inception of ChatGPT and has been actively evolving its technology, developing new models, and working aggressively to bring AGI forward. While the company's progression is widely praised, it had to face some legal pressure for misusing articles from news outlets to train its large language models. However, the artificial intelligence giant has been able to dodge the lawsuit for now as a federal judge in New York has dismissed the case. A federal judge has dismissed a copyright lawsuit against OpenAI for failing to present enough evidence OpenAI found itself to be […]
