Apple is increasingly focusing on building its own devices and expanding its ecosystem by taking steps towards a more native experience for users and relying less on third-party accessories. While the Cupertino-based tech giant's HomePod and AppleTV have left quite the mark in the smart home category, it generally relies more on outsourcing cameras and other hardware for smart homes. Now, a new report suggests that the company intends to create a fully integrated experience by developing its own smart home accessories. Gurman hints about Apple working on making smart home products like security cameras for a more integrated experience […]

We’re heading into the fifth month of 2024, and naturally, we have a full calendar of days and weeks of fresh new games to dig into. This month we’re looking at the anticipated sequel to Ninja Theory’s Hellblade, the return of Paper Mario, World of Goo...
Keeping track of all the latest video games coming out is an increasingly complex task, what with multiple PC storefronts, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, mobile, and more to keep track of, but don’t worry, I’m here to help. Every month I'll be running down the games you need to be keeping an eye on, from the big triple-A headliners, to the intriguing indies you might overlook. After a somewhat slow April, the temperature rises a bit in May, with a couple big exclusives in Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year door, the long-awaited Homeworld 3, and more […]
As we head deeper into 2024, the traditional “E3” season (of course, E3 is dead now, but you catch my drift) for gaming announcements and showcases is coming up fast. In recent days we’ve begun to hear some murmurings about Microsoft’s big 2024 showcase, with Gears 6 reportedly being there, and now a few more potential details may have filtered out. According to The Verge’s Tom Warren, a longtime Microsoft insider, the 2024 Xbox Games Showcase will take place on Sunday, June 9. That lines up with past showcases, which typically take place on a Sunday shortly after Geoff Keighley’s […]
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is set to follow in its predecessor’s footsteps as a digital-only, shorter experience. Ninja Theory’s follow-up to the 2017 psychological horror action game will run about eight hours and cost only $50 compared to the $70 mos...
We’re a little over a month away from the May 21 release of Hellblade 2: Senua’s Saga on Xbox Series X/S, the sequel to Ninja Theory’s 2017 action-adventure game Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. Ahead of its launch, some sites got the chance to check out ...
When Ninja Theory was acquired by Microsoft nearly six years ago, many gamers expected Hellblade II to become Microsoft's own answer to the rebooted God of War franchise. To do that, Ninja Theory would have had to greatly increase the scope of the sequel, but they decided to stick to a short eight-hour-long game instead. Speaking to IGN, Ninja Theory studio head Dominic Matthews explained the unusual choice: I think what we always set out to do is to tell a story and for the game length to be appropriate for the story that we want to tell. So it's […]
Senua's Saga: Hellblade II will only run at 30 frames per second on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, Ninja Theory confirmed today. Speaking with German publication GamePro, the game's VFX director Mark Slater-Tunstill confirmed the game will only run at 30 frames per second and with dynamic resolution scaling on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. While this is extremely disappointing, the 30 FPS cap seems to be the price to pay for the game's stunning visuals, although Slater-Tunstill feels it will make the experience more cinematic. According to GamePro, however, this may not be a huge […]
With about a month and a half left before the game's launch, Ninja Theory has finally shown Senua's Saga: Hellblade II to a few outlets. The sequel to 2017's 'triple-I' masterpiece is scheduled to launch on May 21 for PC and Xbox Series S|X and will benefit from the increased production values that the studio based in Cambridge, UK, can access following the acquisition by Microsoft in 2018. However, speaking to Gamesradar, Ninja Theory studio head Dominic Matthews said: I still think of Ninja Theory as kind of a boutique studio. If I were to draw an analogy with film […]

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II was one of the first games announced for the Xbox Series X/S all the way back in 2019, and thankfully, it’s been confirmed we’re finally going to get our hands on the game relatively soon. During today’s latest Xbox Developer Direct we got some fresh insight into what developer Ninja Theory is building and a more precise 2024 release date. The new Xbox Developer Direct video offers a few more snippets of footage, although the large majority of it is from the game's most recent trailer. Ultimately though, it's what the devs from Ninja Theory say during […]
After the packed year that was 2023, it feels like 2024 may be a bit more of a bridge year, although there’s still plenty for the action fan to look forward to over the next 12 months. A lot of this year’s action games are going big, with Rise of the Ronin and Star Wars Outlaws being full open world, and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II at the very least being much larger than its predecessor (Ninja Theory hasn’t confirmed whether they’re going outright open-world yet). Certainly, everything on this list is pushing the technical bar hard, whether it be the […]
As previously rumored, Microsoft today announced that they’ll be holding their first Xbox Developer Direct on January 18. For those unfamiliar with the format, Developer Directs tend to focus more deeply on a smaller number of titles, rather than spamming a million announcements, and Microsoft has confirmed the upcoming show will include Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, Avowed, and… the new Indiana Jones title from MachineGames. The first two games were expected, as they’ve already been confirmed for a 2024 release, but Indiana Jones was a bit of a surprise. The Indy game was announced back in early 2021, but we’ve […]
