A new impressive graphical showcase of Avatar Frontiers of Pandora has been released, showing Ubisoft's title running in 4K with over 100fps. Created by known German YouTuber 'Digital Dreams', this new video features Avatar with the creator's own custom ReShade ray tracing preset. Truth be told, we’re not entirely sure why custom ReShade ray-tracing effects are being used in addition to the game's hardware-accelerated ray tracing. For this video, Digital Dreams used a Ryzen 9 7950x CPU combined with an NVIDIA RTX 4090 GPU and plenty of other high-end hardware. The result is impressive, to say the least. Check out […]
Yesterday, Ubisoft announced some changes to its subscription services, Premium and Classics. GamesIndustry.biz had the opportunity to interview the company's Director of Subscriptions, Philippe Tremblay, who noted that gamers are still clinging to physically owning their games, unlike music or movie fans. This could be a factor in the slower-than-anticipated adoption of cloud and subscription services. One of the things we saw is that gamers are used to, a little bit like DVD, having and owning their games. That's the consumer shift that needs to happen. They got comfortable not owning their CD collection or DVD collection. That's a transformation […]

Players will be able to select one of four classes, including Attacker, Defender, Medic, and Support, which will be equipped with unique abilities. The goal is to work together to progress toward the center of the map by completing a series of objectives, such as capturing areas, defending targets, and, of […]

The Prince of Persia franchise is one of the longest-running gaming franchises ever, but even a series as storied had some trouble finding its stride in the previous console generation. The development of the Sands of Time remake, which was supposed to launch three years ago, was eventually rebooted, with Ubisoft Montreal now handling the project. With no other major new entry in the series in the pipeline, it seemed like the series would stay away from the spotlight for a few more years. Thankfully, that was not to be the case. Last year, Ubisoft announced Prince of Persia: The […]
