One area where Samsung is rumored to bring some consistency to its upcoming Galaxy Tab S9 lineup is that all three models will be treated to the company’s Dynamic AMOLED 2X technology. Whether or not the Korean giant will employ the exact same panel in different sizes is another debate, but this is a step in the right direction because the base model of last year’s Galaxy Tab S8 family shipped with a TFT LCD screen. In addition, one individual has shared different specifications of each model, so let us discuss those in more detail.
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra to feature the biggest battery and display out of all three models, according to the latest specifications
Starting with the base model, Ahmed Qwaider has shared on Twitter that the Galaxy Tab S9 will feature an 11-inch display with an 8,400mAh battery. One thing to note is that the display sizes from last year remain unchanged, but the smaller Galaxy Tab S9 features a slightly bigger battery than its direct predecessor. Next up, we have the ‘Plus’ variant, and according to the tweet, this model touts a 12.4-inch panel along with a 10,090mAh battery, making these specifications unchanged from the Galaxy Tab S8 Plus.
Next, we come to the largest member of the flagship tablet lineup, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, which is rumored to ship with a massive 14.6-inch panel, and an 11,200mAh battery. In terms of sheer size, this version has a significantly bigger footprint than the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, with the tablet practically stepping into the laptop category with that display size. At the end of the tweet, Ahmed Qwaider talks about the RAM and storage, mentioning 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal memory.

Unfortunately, the confusion lies if he is referring to all models or just the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, and if so, will those other tablets be offered in higher RAM and storage versions? According to an earlier rumor, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra can be kitted out with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, while a leaked benchmark of the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus revealed that it had 12GB RAM, so the differences are there. Apart from the Dynamic AMOLED 2X, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will also be consistent with all three models, suggesting that, at least in raw performance, Samsung will not be picking favorites.
All that remains to be seen is which version can be fitted with the most amount of RAM and internal storage. Sadly, Ahmed Qwaider did not provide this information in the tweet, so we will have to wait for more updates to arrive so we can deliver a solid confirmation.
