It seems that all the rumors that we have been hearing are true. Samsung is indeed releasing five tablets this year, all of them from the same family. We did know about the Galaxy Tab S9 series, but an earlier rumor pointed out how there will be two fan edition models as well, and one of them leaked yesterday. Today, we have the Galaxy Tab S9 FE; this will be joining the Plus variant of the fan edition tablet and is expected to launch later this month at Galaxy Unpacked.
The fact that there are going to be five variants of the Galaxy Tab S9 is concerning at best
The leak is coming from @OnLeaks in association with MediaPeanut and shows the Galaxy Tab S9 FE in all its glory and gives us a glimpse of what this tablet will feature. It is evident that Samsung has designed this tablet for someone who does not want to spend a lot of money on the flagship offerings that will also be revealed during the same event.
You can see how the Galaxy Tab S9 FE, despite looking basic, still has the design DNA from the more premium tablets from the mainline. As far as the specs are concerned, the tablet is said to run Exynos 1380 chipset and will offer a 10.9-inch display, a single rear camera, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and all the bells and whistles you expect from a Samsung tablet.
I am a little concerned about the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and S9 FE Plus, to be honest. Mainly because Samsung is already releasing the Galaxy Tab S9 series, which has three variants, all powerful enough to compete with these. This also raises the question of price then because pricing five devices in the same family is not easy. Then there is the matter of the release date. Releasing these tablets with some time in the middle would make more sense than releasing them altogether.
There is very little we can speculate at the time of writing. We know that the Galaxy Unpacked is taking place on 26th July, later this month, and hopefully, we'll get access to a lot more details once these tablets go official. Until then, you can expect more details to come forward, and we will be sure to keep you posted about all the information we learn going forward.
