The OnePlus 12 is going to come out later this year, and so far, we have seen how the device looks. It is actually really good to see that after years of drastically changing the design, OnePlus is finally sticking to a design philosophy as the phone shares its looks with its predecessors. Today, we have the full specifications of the upcoming OnePlus flagship, and they are everything that you had hoped for, and for a good reason.
The OnePlus 12 is going to be the most powerful flagship of this year. Let's hope it manages to deliver on its impressive specs
The leak is coming as a courtesy of our good friend @OnLeaks, in association with SmartPrix, and sheds light on everything that the new OnePlus 12 is going to pack. In case you have not guessed it, OnePlus is going all out, and you are getting a pretty beefy package with some much-needed upgrades under the tow.
We all know that the phone will debut in China later this year, followed by a global launch early next year. The OnePlus 12 is going to bring Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, presumably becoming one of the first phones to offer the latest chipset. However, this could change if another Chinese company beats it to the punch. The phone will also offer a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and the panel will utilize LTPO technology.
The OnePlus 12 will also have enough in terms of memory and storage as you are getting 166 gigs of LPDDR5X RAM with 256 gis of storage running on UFS 4.0. The phone is powered by a massive 5,400 mAh battery, with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Based on the source, the charger does come bundled in the box, so you don't have to worry about buying a separate charger.
Handling the optics will be a triple camera setup on the back of the OnePlus 12. The main camera is going to be a 50-megapixel sensor, the same as the ultra-wide sensor. However, the biggest upgrade can be seen in terms of the telephoto camera, which is a 64-megapixel periscope sensor with 3x optical zoom. On the front, you are going to get a 32-megapixel camera.
So far, it is safe to say that the OnePlus 12 is looking like a very promising device, and I am hoping that it actually ends up being a good phone. The smartphone market is in dire need of competition. However, if a standard form factor is not what you are looking for, you can also look into the OnePlus Open, which is going official sometime in August, later this year. We will keep you posted, so be sure that you stay tuned.
