Leaker Suggests The Biggest Reason to Upgrade to The iPhone 15 Pro is Not Worth it

Published:

Upgrading to iPhone 15 pro Due to Action Button is Not Worth it

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models will rock a bevy of changes compared to the current models and each new addition could be classified as a major upgrade. However, the importance given to a specific feature might vary from one individual to another. This year, one of the main changes coming with the 'Pro' models is the removal of the Mute Switch. The company would instead transform it into an Action Button on the iPhone 15 Pro that can do a plethora of tasks. However, a leaker suggests that the Action Button is not a reason that you should consider upgrading to the new model.

The Action Button alone is not the reason why you should be considering upgrading to the iPhone 15 Pro

The iPhone 15 Pro is expected to be the first iPhone in many years to switch from a stainless steel build. It is expected that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will feature a titanium finish for a lightweight experience and enhanced durability. While the build quality will be improved as titanium is stronger than steel, it is still not a major change on which users should be basing their decision. On the flip side, the Action Button on the iPhone 15 Pro will add to the functionality of the device and what it can do in contrast to a Mute Switch.

Initially, it was rumored that Apple would be moving away from mechanical buttons in favor of a solid-state solution. However, the plans were scrapped for the iPhone 15 Pro and again rumored to arrive with next year's iPhone 16 Pro models. The change would have also affected the Action Button but it would still not have altered the functionality of the iPhone 15 Pro.

We have previously covered what the Action Button on the iPhone 15 Pro could be used for. While you can check out the full list of functions it can perform and more, leaker Unknownz21 does not seem to be too excited about it,  While he did not share his reasons, we can presume that the functions the Action Button can perform are already present on the iPhone and it only oaves way for easier access, For instance, most users would still be using the Action Button to switch between Silent and Ringer modes.

Henceforth, this would drop the excitement of the Action Button. In other words, the Action Button does not bring any new feature to the table but offers an alternative way to initiate a certain feature, most of which can already be transformed into a shortcut for easier access. If you think the Action Button is the reason why you should upgrade to the iPhone 15 Pro, it is only a fancy shortcut button on the forthcoming iPhone,

However, the Action Button is not the only reason why you should consider upgrading to the iPhone 15 Pro. For instance, the iPhone 15 Pro will house an all-new A17 Bionic chip based on TSMC's 3nm process. The new chip will offer enhanced computational and graphical performance compared to the current flagship chip in the iPhone 14 Pro - A16 Bionic, Not only this, the iPhone 15 Pro could also feature better battery life due to the low power-hungry nature of the chip. The cameras are another reason why you should be looking forward to the iPhone 15 Pro.

All in all, there is no one reason why you should consider upgrading to the iPhone 15 Pro, However, a cluster of upgrades coupled with your need to upgrade becomes a single reason to upgrade to the iPhone 15 Pro. The iPhone 15 Pro models would also start at a higher 256GB of storage but it will also cost you more to get your hands on it. Henceforth, it all boils down to why you need the new iPhone and if you are willing to spend a couple of hundred bucks extra for the iPhone 15 Pro.
