The Pixel Watch 2 is coming later this year, and we cannot change anything about that. The watch is going to launch alongside the Pixel 8 series sometime in October. That is also when we will see the latest Android 14 and Wear OS 4 go official. Based on all the information we have received so far, things are looking pretty good, and today, we finally have some key specs for Google's upcoming smartwatch.

The Pixel Watch 2 showed up as Eos today in the Google Play Console device catalog. This list normally shows Android devices that developers can access and use when they are distributing apps, and these listings normally do mention some specs about the devices as well, along with images sometimes. The best thing is that almost all of the time, these listings are pretty accurate, so you don't have to take this with a grain of salt.
Let's start with the chipset; the Google Pixel Watch 2 is going to launch with the Qualcomm SW510. This is going to be a standard W5. You are also going to get 2 gigs of RAM, and the watch is going to run on Wear OS 4, which makes sense. The new watch will also have support for the backup feature in Wear OS 4, so you would be good to go in that department, as well.
Additional specs unveil that the Pixel Watch is going to ship with a 384x384 resolution display. Past rumors have suggested that Google is using a Samsung panel. Sadly, not much has been revealed about the new smartwatch, but considering how October is not that far, you can expect a full-fledged leak in the coming weeks, and we will be sure to let you know.
The original Pixel Watch was a nice entry in the market where we don't see a lot of great smartwatches aside from Apple Watch, and while it did not compete on the same level as the Galaxy Watch series did, it still showed that Google knows what they are doing and with that, one can be hopeful with the upcoming Pixel Watch 2 because it seems like it is going to be a step up and one in the right direction.
