There is no denying that Samsung's Fan Edition devices have seen some ups and downs. The first was the Galaxy Note 7 Fan Edition which seemed like an apology to fans back in 2016. After that, we didn't see Fan Edition make a return until 2020 in the form of Galaxy S20 FE, which was a massive hit. The Galaxy S21 FE failed to make the same mark, and we never saw the Galaxy S22 FE. So far, the rumors have pointed out that the Galaxy S23 FE is indeed coming, and Samsung has slyly confirmed it, too. But the latest rumor points out that we might get a foldable Fan Edition device, too.
Samsung would do the right thing by releasing a Fan Edition foldable phone
Now, it makes sense from a lot of perspectives. The Galaxy Tab S9 series also has Fan Edition devices coming, and the Galaxy S23 FE is on the horizon, so it only makes sense that Samsung makes an affordable Galaxy Z Fold FE or Galaxy Z Flip FE. Another way this makes sense is that there is an $800 gap between the Z Fold and the Z Flip, so Samsung could release something that could bridge the gap or even cheaper than the $999 starting point of its clamshell foldable.
The S23 FE is set to be released soon, and there are possibilities that Samsung plans to consistently introduce the FE brand annually. Simultaneously, there are rumors of ongoing testing for the launch of the Galaxy Z FE(lite model), after the Fold/Flip 6.

The tip is coming from reliable tipster Revegnus, who claims that the Galaxy S23 FE is set to be released soon, and there is a possibility that Samsung will start introducing Fan Edition devices every year. Last but not least, the source adds that there are rumors of a Galaxy Z FE, and the device will launch after the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 come out.
Honestly, I am glad that Samsung is focusing on premium-affordable flagships as well. I mean, the Galaxy A series is selling great for the company but with the FE phones, the company manages to bridge some gaps that are within its own more premium segment. The rumor does not surprise me at all because Samsung has talked about it in the past about how they want to release more Fan Edition devices, and what better way than to release a Fan Edition foldable, right?
Currently, we cannot give you more information on what Samsung is cooking with its Fan Edition devices. Whatever the case may be, I am happy that we are finally going to see more diversity in the upper echelon of Samsung devices, and we will, of course, keep you posted as we get to learn more.
