A lot of us were under the impression that Samsung's voice assistant, Bixby, was not going to last a long time. However, that never happened because Samsung is making sure that there are more and more adapters to this voice assistance, and the company is also regularly adding new features. The latest feature is the ability to clone the user's voice.
Bixby's ability to clone your voice is one of the coolest features we have seen on any voice assistant
Samsung has decided to roll out the voice cloning feature on Bixby to more regions and devices. This will actually help users record their voice into the voice assistant and then, with the help of AI, have a cloned voice that will basically talk back to the user when prompted—a convenient feature, if not creepy.
Now, it is worth noting that the feature is rolling out in stages and not to everyone. For instance, I could not find this feature on my Galaxy S22 Ultra and asked a couple of other people, and even they have not received the update. The feature is still rolling out, so it will take some time before your Bixby receives an update and you can get access to it. Until then, we are going to have to wait and see how it progresses.
Honestly, I had no idea that Samsung was actively working on Bixby. After all, it is far from the perfect voice assistant, but the voice cloning feature looks pretty cool. Sure, it might have some hiccups in the start, but considering how it is based on artificial intelligence, it is safe to say that the feature is going to get better with time.
Remember, the feature is still not completely rolled out, so it can take up to months before it comes to everyone. I have updated Bixby to the latest version and will be keeping an eye on it. Once the feature rolls out globally, we will let you know.
Considering how Samsung has now updated Bixby with one of the most important features, I am looking forward to seeing what other features make their way onto the app. It definitely is a good thing that the company is making its voice assistant even more relevant than it was before with new features.
