The Realme G5 is finally here, and for anyone who is looking for some seriously powerful hardware, this is the one that you should be getting your hands on because this might be one of the most powerful Android smartphones in the market.
Let's start with the obvious: the Realme GT5 brings a number of notable improvements, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, and the company has mentioned that you can actually tweak the clock speeds from the system settings, which is something that we found out a couple of days ago.

Aside from the top-tier spec sheet, the most exciting part of the phone is the fact that you are getting an option called Burning Mode in the phone. Sadly, Realme has not confirmed whether you are going to need a specific fan for the feature to work, but the name is something that might make people look the other way. The Realme GT5 offers plenty in every other aspect. You are getting a 144Hz OLED screen with 1,400 nits peak brightness, up to 24 gigs of RAM, and 1TB of storage. It might sound like an overkill, but hey, if you are getting something this powerful, then why not go for it? Powering the device is a 4,600 mAh battery with 240W wired charging speeds, which is quite insane. However, if you want to go for a more modest charging speed, the same phone is available in another variant that has 150W wired charging speeds and a larger 5,240 mAh battery.
On the back, you are going to find a triple camera system with a 50-megapixel IMX890 main sensor, an 8-megapixel sensor for ultrawide duties, and a 20-megapixel macro camera, as well. On the front, you will find a 16-megapixel sensor. The Realme GT5 is clearly not meant for those who are looking for top-tier optical performance.
The Realme GT5 has some more tricks up its sleeves, starting with the fact that the phone actually has four RGB lights on the back. You can choose from 26 colors, which is not as magical as the entire 16.8 million color spectrum, but if you want some customization on your phone, this is a good start.
The Realme GT5 also brings an IR blaster, NFC, GPS, an under-display fingerprint reader, Wi-Fi 7, and Realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13. For the pricing and availability, the phone is now available in China starting at 2,999 yuan or $411 for the base 12/256GB variant. If you want the top-tier model, that is available for 3,999 yuan or $548.
