Apple’s top-end iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are rumored to feature 2TB of internal storage, sporting twice the onboard memory compared to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. An image is recently doing the rounds, showing a Graphite version of Apple’s flagship, along with its maximum supported storage. The supposed leak would have been an excellent find if not for the fact that it was a doctored image.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max box is being circulated around X, formerly known as Twitter, and the image was likely floating around Weibo before finding its way to the micro-blogging platform. A few users, such as @lipilipsi have uploaded the image, either believing that the image is legit or wanting to catch the unsuspecting readers off-guard, but there are still several eagle-eyed individuals who performed thorough research before reaching a conclusion.
For instance, one individual with the handle @DylanMcD8 said that the iPhone 15 Pro Max image had a label with incorrect spacing, and knowing Apple’s attention to detail with its product packaging, this was an obvious red flag. However, the nail in the coffin was another post uploaded by @PawelStaniek below, with stated the ‘CMIIT ID: 2021CJ10566,’ which is the same identifier present in the alleged image of the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The problem is that this identifier belongs to the iPhone 13 Pro Max, confirming that the image is edited.

Though a ton of effort was taken into creating this false image of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, there are simply too many details to ignore, including the serial number above, along with the immaculate spacing that needs to be present between each letter. We expect many such images to circulate around social media websites, and we will do our best to differentiate the legitimate and fake ones.
