Apple reportedly used LIPO technology, or ‘low-injection pressure over-molding’ to substantially reduce the bezels on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. In short, despite featuring the same 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch display sizes as their direct predecessors, the latest flagships are smaller than the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, though in a recent hands-on video, you actually have to zoom in to see those differences.

Earlier rumors stated that Apple’s latest iPhone 15 Pro models would have bezels measuring 1.55mm, which is a significant reduction from 2.2mm on last year’s handsets. However, those differences cannot be translated into visual form because ben’s gadget reviews on YouTube provided a close-up of the iPhone 14 Pro and its successor to show that while there is a change, it is not major, so it should not be the deciding factor for consumers when they place their pre-orders this coming Friday.
There are other improvements in the design, though, and according to the YouTuber, the edges are more ‘rounded’ on the iPhone 15 family compared to the iPhone 14. Using an iPhone 14 Pro Max as his daily driver, Ben states that there were sharper corners on last year’s flagship, making it uncomfortable to hold, though we are confident that slapping on a case would eliminate this problem.
With the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, that issue is no longer present, so customers who are not accustomed to using cases on their expensive smartphones will likely notice the difference. Additionally, thanks to the use of titanium, the YouTuber states that when he picked up the iPhone 15 Pro Max, it was lighter than previous-generation models carrying the ‘Pro Max’ moniker.
