It's no secret that Samsung is currently working on a number of new devices, including the Galaxy Buds FE, which appeared a number of times, as well as other new Fan Edition devices. However, another device that is still a bigger mystery happens to be the Galaxy Ring. Now, we know that this smart ring exists, but we have not heard much about this ring so far. We had an inkling that it might be released during the last Galaxy Unpacked, but that did not happen. However, more evidence has surfaced that the ring actually exists.
More evidence points towards Galaxy Ring, but we still don't have an official or leaked look
Some users in Samsung's home turf have examined the Samsung Wearable app and found a new icon or an icon that looks a lot like a ring. Now, it could be just another placeholder, but considering how we have been hearing about the Galaxy Ring for some time, it is safe to say that Samsung is indeed working on a new smart ring.
Now, this screenshot shows or tells us little to nothing about the upcoming Galaxy Ring, but it is an obvious indication that Samsung is indeed working on this new smart ring, and it could be released any day now. Considering the myriad of leaks we have been getting, my guess is that the new smart ring is going to be unveiled alongside the Fan Edition devices that are scheduled for later this year.
Sadly, we still don't have a concrete release date for the Galaxy S23 FE, along with all the FE devices that Samsung has planned. This means that the Galaxy Ring also does not have a release date, but we are hoping that we get more information on Samsung's latest venture sooner rather than later.
Smart rings don't make much sense, but there is a niche market out there. Samsung working on the Galaxy Ring should not come as a surprise as it is just another way to expand the portfolio, and considering how the company is already offering an impressive lineup of products, why not add a smart ring to it? We just don't know if it will be as in demand as some of the other products, but I guess only time will tell. Hopefully, we will learn about this mysterious smart ring in the future and will share with you all the information that we receive.
