Bose has a history with some of the finest headphones on the market, and their QuietComfort 45 is among the finest that you can get your hands on. So much so that they have managed to hold themselves against the likes of Apple's AirPods Max and Sony's WH-1000XM5. However, the company feels that the Bose QuietComfort Ultra is what you should get if you are looking for an unparalleled experience, and while it might sound overconfident, the feature set has something else to say.
The Bose QuietComfort Ultra are the headphones for you if you want to get your hands on something premium
For starters, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra offers agnostic spatial audio, which means that you do not need a specific OS to run this feature as it works on both Android and IOS. Bose claims that the new headphones offer much better noise cancellation and have a much more premium design. You are looking at a much heftier overall look that should add to the overall durability of the headphones, as well.
The Bose QuietComfort Ultra brings improvement to the control method as well. You have a new capacitive touch area on the right earcup that you can use for volume and shortcuts. The Bluetooth pairing button, along with multifunction buttons, is also located on the same side. On the left of the headphones, you will find an LED status and a 2.5mm line-in audio in case you want to go wired.
Sadly, Bose has refrained from sharing any technicalities but does mention how the Bose QuietComfort Ultra brings an improved signal processing system along with a new chipset and advanced microphones for better ANC. The headphones also support Qualcomm's aptX adaptive codec, and as mentioned before, you also have access to Immersive Audio modes the best thing is that you are not going to need any specific app for that. The entire experience is done on-device, allowing for a much wider sound stage. Users will even have access to Motion and Still modes, which will switch depending on your movement.
Last but not least, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra also brings support for Google Fast Pair, making it an absolute breeze to ensure that your connection is fast and easy. For those wondering about the pricing and availability, the headphones are not going to come cheap as they will be available in Black and White Smoke color for $429. The pre-orders are now live, and you can buy them starting in October.
