Over the weekend, we saw the iPhone 15 Pro demand exceeding our own expectations as the shipment dates started sleeping towards October and, shortly after that, to November. This was something that a lot of people weren't expecting, but now, we have a new report that suggests that the pre-orders are going strong and the Pro Max is the one variant that is selling the best.
You might have to wait until November to get your hands on an iPhone 15 Pro Max if supply issues persist
According to a report from Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is the one variant that is facing the highest demand, and it is easily surpassing the demand of the iPhone 14 Pro Max from last year. However, the delays in shipments are not just because of the demand but also because of some other factors.
“Current iPhone 15 Pro Max shipments are lower due to a later mass production schedule, and its current production challenges are more pronounced than other models,” Kuo says.
As far as the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are concerned, the demand is on par with what we experienced last year, and the iPhone 15 Pro is not in demand as much as the iPhone 14 Pro was last year. Kuo has mentioned that this is happening mainly because the more premium users are finding better overall value in the Pro Max variant, which makes sense.
Looking at the shipping estimates from Apple itself, the iPhone 15 Pro Max in Natural Titanium and White Titanium are two models that are facing the longest delays because, at the time of writing, the shipping estimates have slipped to mid-November.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max being in high demand does not surprise me, even after I am an Android user. If you look at Samsung's highest-end offerings, the Ultra variant is the one that sells the most and is normally harder to get. Apple facing issues with supply is not something to worry about. If you have managed to successfully pre-order your phone, you should be getting your hands on the device on 22nd September. We are hoping that Apple will overcome the supply issues it is facing with the higher-end models.
