There's no denying that the iPhone 15 series is receiving favorable reviews from critics. Considering how the reviews for both the standard and pro models are finally out, it is safe to say that we have a home run on our hands, and a new report now tells a similar story in China, where the phones are selling faster than expectations, with some retailers running out of stock in minutes.
The new iPhone 15 series is a massive success even in regions where we thought it would not perform well
Surprisingly, Apple has to face competition from Huawei in China, and not just that, the Chinese government also has restrictions against the use of iPhones. Despite that, the iPhone 15 variants managed to sell out pretty quickly.
Data proves that the new iPhone 15 series managed to generate excellent preorder activities on all major websites, such as Tmall and JD.com. The initial batch of preorders for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max that was available at Tmall sold out in less than a minute after the preorders started. The officials had to restock nine times in less than thirty minutes, with the Pro Max being the definitive choice for most people.
JD.com, on the other hand, experienced over 3 million preorders for all four iPhone 15 models on Monday; the new phone easily managed to outrun the competition, dominating the sales.
Then there is the case of on-demand services like Meituan and Ele.me. Meiutan sold 200 million yuan worth of iPhones in the first half hour of the presale session on Friday. This was done by partnering up with over 5,000 authorized Apple retailers.
Honestly, it is safe to say that the new iPhone 15 series is performing a lot better than we thought. I remember having a conversation with some folks in the tech world, and they mentioned how they don't believe the new iPhones bring anything new or revolutionary to the table, and while one could argue against that and talk about how the new changes are welcome, the fact is that people want to get their hands on the new phones and at the time of writing, I cannot think of a better phone to suggest to anyone who is looking for something.
The iPhone 15 series is going to start hitting the shelves and retailers on 22nd September, later this week. If you want to get a taste of the pro models, I would suggest that you act fast because these variants are flying off the shelf before they even hit them.
