Now that the iPhone 15 series is out, it is safe to say that a lot of people are looking forward to seeing what Samsung has done with the Galaxy S24. Yesterday, we heard that the components for the new flagships are going to go into production starting next month, and the release date is also being planned earlier than before. Today, we have an exact date, which further confirms Samsung's plan with the new phones.
The Galaxy S24 series could launch on January 18 as Samsung wants to compete against Apple's iPhone 15
Renowned tipster Ice Universe posted that the Galaxy S24 series is going to launch on January 18, 2024. This is a month earlier than what Samsung has been doing for some time, and honestly, this is a good thing because the company is facing stiff competition from the iPhone 15 series, and releasing the phones earlier will allow people to get their hands on the devices earlier.
Now, a lot of people would argue about Samsung's decision to do this, but you have to keep in mind that this is not the first time that the company has done it. For instance, the Galaxy S20 series was released in March of 2020. The Galaxy S21, on the other hand, was released in January of 2021. The Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S23 were both released in February 2022 and 2023, respectively. This means that the release date for the Galaxy S24 falls in line, and considering how the new iPhone 15 series is proving to be a massive success, it makes all the more sense for Samsung to hurry up and release something that can compete against Apple's latest and greatest.
Since October is not far away, we will be entering the fourth quarter of this year, and this means that we are going to get a lot more information on the Galaxy S24 series. As always, we will be sure to report everything we learn, but from the information we learned so far, it appears that Samsung is going to be shifting things around. Using better materials, a flatter display, and more. It is safe to say that there is a lot relying on the new series, and I cannot wait to see what January's Galaxy Unpacked brings to the table.
